Dr. Saleh is a child & adolescent, adult (general), and forensic psychiatrist and Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He has his private office in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
Dr. Saleh was born and raised in Wiesbaden, Germany. He received his medical degree in Florence, Italy; and completed his child and adolescent psychiatry residency at Case Western Reserve University and his psychiatric residency training at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Through his training and ongoing work, Dr. Saleh has acquired skills and expertise in the evaluation and treatment of some of the most challenging psychiatric disorders. These include, but are not limited to, child and adolescent disorders, intellectual disabilities, substance use disorders, and sexual disorders including paraphilic disorders, alone and in combination. Dr. Saleh has also expertise in evaluating children’s allegations of sexual abuse, especially as it relates to the reliability and suggestibility of children's statements and disclosures.
Dr. Saleh has served as the President of the American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry, Chair of the Sex Offenders Committee of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, and Chair of the Sexual Disorders Interest Group of the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society. He also has served as the Chair of the Child Psychiatry and the Law Committee of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. He was elected to the status of Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, which is the highest membership honor the APA bestows upon its members.
Dr. Saleh has published book chapters and papers on paraphilic sex offenders, adolescent and female sex offenders, and the treatment of violence. He has given over numerous lectures, research presentations, and has participated in panel discussions and symposia at national and international meetings.
